BEING a highly motivated production company, we focus our social conscience and curiosity on developing independent films, documentaries, and DVD features that are adventurous, intimate, personal, controversial, and experimental.

This is a brand new Television Pilot called... "Worlds Apart"

Hawkeye Film Works strives to reach, entertain, stimulate, and challenge audiences with films by artists who explore the unexamined or reexamined aspects of life in ways that shed new light on the human condition.

We hope with this new series called World's apart to really be able to tell the hidden in plain sight truth about the different subcultures that we see often in public but rarely understand about their private lives and plights...learn more about the show HERE:

"A SOLDIER'S TALE"

Hawkeye Film Works, a new visionary film company in Des Moines, Iowa, would like to announce they are in negotiations with Lion Heart Film Works of Richmond,
Virginia, to produce a brand new Civil War movie about two Iowa heroes titled
"A Soldier's Tale 1861".

This story highlights the state of Iowa and, of course, these two dynamic young Iowans in love, and war and the struggle to survive both. It is Hawkeye Film Works' sincere hope, that it can help Iowa transform it's usual image of just another farming state, into a more exciting place to be, when viewing it from the big screen.

The story promises the state of Iowa a well deserved make over, which will show that Iowans are the friendliest people around.

The film showcases Iowa as one of the best places in the Midwest
to live, work and raise a family amid Iowa's natural beauty.

This epic Civil War film is to be shot primarily in Iowa, and is expected to begin in 2010.
This new, important movie, is a tale about two forgotten Iowa Heros.
The movie is titled "A Soldier's Tale 1861", and is the true life story of a young, heroic
Iowa woman during the civil war.

This is a huge feature film project...

... 2011 FEATURE FILM...
..."A Soldier's Tale",
...Spring thru Summertime.

Iowa-based Hawkeye Film Works is now actively seeking to raise the funds for the projected several-million-dollar budget it will take to produce this epic motion picture over the next several years. Much of the story is set in pre-war Iowa and the Midwest. The production company wants to make a sincere appeal to Iowa businessmen and investors to seriously consider investing in this new film.

This story highlights these two young Iowans and their struggle to survive both their love and the war which divided this nation. But it is Hawkeye Film Works' sincere hope that this film will also help to further transform the usual image of Iowa as just another farming state with the uplifting and positive image of Iowa and its people that this film will portray on the big screen. As the work on the film progresses, it is our sincere hope that all who are involved in the production will come to learn and to recognize that Iowa is a beautiful, exciting, vibrant place to live, to work, and to create motion pictures. It is also our sincere hope that as audiences view the resulting final movie, they will view Iowa, the heartland, and its people as a vital part of this nation and its history.
